
Stefanos Gritzalis is a Professor of Information and Communication Systems Security, at the Dept. of Digital Systems, University of Piraeus, Greece (2019+). He was the Rector of the University of the Aegean, Greece (2014-2018). He has acted as Special Secretary for the Hellenic Ministry for Administrative Reform and Electronic Governance (2009-2012). Previously, he was a Professor at the University of the Aegean, Greece, Dept. of Information and Communication Systems Engineering, and member of the Laboratory of Information and Communication Systems Security. His published scientific work includes more than 10 books and 35 book chapters. Moreover, his work has been published in 315 papers in refereed journals and proceedings of international refereed conferences. His most frequently cited papers have more than 7.200 citations. He is the Editor-in-Chief or Editorial Board member or a Reviewer in more than 120 journals. He has acted as Guest Editor in 35 journals, he has been General Chair or PC Chair in more than 50 international conferences and workshops, he has served as a Program Committee member of more than 600 international conferences. He has acted as External Reviewer for research proposals submitted to ERC European Research Council and research organisations in Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Czech, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, South Africa, Qatar, Cyprus, and Greece.
