NEWPost Project (Funded by EU 2019-2021)
ADAE participated as a partner in the co-funded European Project NewPost providing a new approach towards the needed skills which are necessary for the postal sector in Europe.
The target groups were: current and future potential employees in the postal sector in EU,
Post Offices, Postal Institutions, enterprises on e-commerce sector and associated partners.
Through the Project a Joint Vet Curriculum was created addressing three specific challenges:
a) Postal offices should operate on the same way through EU countries b)Making cross-border parcel delivery more efficient c) Emphasis on digital skills & ICT shortages.
Furthermore, the project was structured around two main pillars: a) Designing or improving of a joint qualification in VET b) Setting up of a new sustainable cooperation structure. Furthermore, privacy, security and confidentiality of postal services was a main pillar of the project.
